We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Remote Venture Capital & Corporate Law Attorney — LLM Alignment & Research ($140 - $400/hour) to provide granular domain oversight in venture capital financing, corporate transactions, legal drafting and negotiation, transactional analysis. You will translate your hard-earned professional intuition into structured feedback that teaches foundation models how to solve complex, multi-tiered problems accurately.

Key Project Deliverables

• Summarize legal concepts and transaction processes in clear, accessible language for AI training purposes.
• Identify potential legal, regulatory, or compliance issues within sample scenarios or documentation.
• Deliver constructive feedback on sample legal texts, enhancing the quality of AI-generated output.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and other contributors through remote communication platforms.
• Review and analyze venture capital and corporate transactions, providing expert written and verbal insights.
• Draft, assess, and comment on investment documents, such as term sheets, share purchase agreements, and convertible notes.
• Evaluate and explain complex structuring and governance considerations relevant to startups, investors, and corporations.

Candidate Profile & Expertise Needed

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in high-stakes transactional contexts.
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and cross-border investment considerations is a plus.
• Experience collaborating on remote, multi-disciplinary projects is advantageous.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
• Extensive experience (ideally 7+ years) in venture capital financing, corporate transactions, and startup legal advisory.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate investment and corporate governance documents.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Compensation, Flexibility & Contract Structure

• Compensation Rate: $140 - $400/hour (verified contractor remuneration)
